European Union (EU) Ambassador to Bangladesh Rensje Teerink has said the EU stands side by side with the administration of Bangladesh in reintegrating transients back in their locale.
She made the confirmation as of late while visiting Khulna to see the exercises and effect of Prottasha venture.
“I’m dazzled with the work being done under Prottasha venture.
I accept this open door to console that the EU stands side by side with the administration of Bangladesh in reintegrating transients back in their
locale,” she was cited as saying in an IOM media discharge issued on Sunday.
The EU Head of Delegation, Rensje Teerink, joined by Chief of Mission of IOM Bangladesh Giorgi Gigauri, Deputy Chief of Mission Dimanche Sharon and Acting Executive Director of BRAC Asif Saleh visited the undertaking region of
Prottasha in Khulna and Dumuria upazilas from July 17 to 19.
The EU is subsidizing the four-year Prottasha venture which is being actualized in 10 regions since 2017 went for the maintainable reintegration of returnees and the dynamic accomplishment of SDG Goal 10.7 – to encourage methodical, sheltered, normal and capable relocation and portability of individuals, reports UNB.
Universal Organization for Migration (IOM) in close coordinated effort of the Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry and association with Brac has been executing the undertaking having three segments –
reintegration, administration and mindfulness raising.During the visit to Dumuria upazila, EU agents cooperated with the recipients, para-instructors and movement gathering individuals at the venture areas.
On the second day of the visit on 18 July, EU representatives went to a District Coordination Committee (DCC) meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s
(DC) office and visited a Reintegration Service Center – RSC in Khulna city.Chief of Mission of IOM Bangladesh Giorgi Gigauri said they are adopting a more extensive formative strategy with regards to reintegration backing to returnee vagrants.
